It’s not often a church turns 175 years old, and when one does a word of congratulations is definitely worthwhile. I am grateful for the ongoing witness of FBC Rome and wish them the very best in their future ministry.
Pastor Joel Snider’s remarks about the church functioning not as a museum but a vibrant and thriving mission point is definitely a point well taken. It’s tempting to rest on one’s laurels, even for churches only (dare I say) 65 years old like ours. I hope and pray our church remains a relevant and effective witness for Christ in our community and around the world through our giving and going.
