Holy Week 2010

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most significant event in human history. It is understandable that we would want to move directly to the resurrection rather than deal with the horror of the crucifixion, but I think we need to slow down and consider the suffering of Christ.

This week in particular is a great time to revisit our priorities and how we treat each other, especially fellow believers in Jesus Christ. We also need to assess where our relationship with God is in relationship to other things in our lives. It is tempting to allow urgent things to replace the truly significant.  My hope is that I will be able to focus on Christ and his Kingdom first, and trust God to take care of the details.

I am hopeful for a very meaningful and reflective week.
