Here’s an interesting story about the Missouri Baptist Convention’s latest efforts to bridge the gap between conservative elements in the state Baptist body. It appears that the Executive Board has approved taking $100,000 from reserves to spend on bringing conflicting sides together.

Interestingly, the Peace Committee initially said $250,000 was needed to bring about peace in the state convention. The price of bringing about peace at this amount proved too high, so the lower amount of $100K was adopted instead.
